We Need Your Help!

If you have found our site helpful, and if you want to help promote a balanced Adventist Christian understanding of homosexuality, we would like to give you the opportunity to help our ministry.

Note that we do not promote "change" ministries, and we do not promote the practice of gay sex. We offer another choice -- a more balanced view -- to those among us who find themselves with a homosexual orientation. It's definitely a minority view, and sometimes we feel a little like David facing Goliath. <smile> But we remember that God is bigger than any "giants" out there.

Note that www.GLAdventist.org is a sister site of our main GLOW site. Most of the content is the same, though we want to develop some unique, specifically Adventist content. (Having a separate Adventist site helps us to promote the site specifically to Adventists.) Through our main site with the supporting discussion lists we are able to share our Adventist view of salvation with our Christian friends on the list. In turn, they have made a wonderful contribution to the list and include some of our most solid supporters.

If you would like to help our ministry, here are some things you can do:

  • Educate yourself on a balanced view of homosexuality, including what our church's stand on the subject, by studying the materials on this site.
  • When the subject comes up in conversation -- either casual, or in a church setting, such as Sabbath School -- follow Christ's counsel to be "as wise as serpents, harmless as doves" and stand up for a biblical, balanced view of homosexuality. When nearly the whole world is adheres to one or another extreme and incorrect view of homosexuality, it is important that those who follow Jesus take a firm stand.
  • Give out our website address -- www.GLAdventist.org -- when you discuss the subject with others of our faith. (For other Christians, you can share the address of our sister site, www.GLOW.cc. Send it to people via email when you have the slightest reason to do so. It can't hurt anyone, and it may just lead someone to a new commitment to Christ.
  • Communicate with whoever is responsible for your church's web site and ask that a link to www.GLAdventist org be placed on the church site. It may save a despairing Adventist Christian from either suicide or a plunge into the gay world. (Sadly we know that many Adventists have taken one option or the other because those appeared to be the only options open to them.) Our sister site, God's Love - Our Witness or www.GLOW.cc is currently listed at the North American Division Family Ministries site in their Links section, but most folks don't find it there. (Did you know that page even exists?) It is also listed on www.PlusLine.org and a number of other Adventist sites. Each listing helps people find us -- not just from the direct link but also from the higher search engine (e.g. www.GOOGLE.com) that these links give us.
  • You can help support this ministry with your finances. (See below.)

We cannot yet give a tax-deductible receipt because it would require setting up a charitable organization with a tax number, etc., and that costs money. If you have suggestions on how to do this without too much cost or trouble, please email us.

As you can imagine, this web site and supporting email lists represent an investment of thousands of dollars of money and time.

We would like to develop resources kits that can be used by teachers and pastors. We would also like to be prepared to travel to make presentations -- all of which is dependent on the support of people such as you.

Whether you can contribute one dollar or thousands, all contributions are gratefully accepted. If you are considering making a sizable donation, please feel free to email us. I (Inge Anderson) will call you back, if you'll give me a phone number and a good time to reach you, and I'll answer your questions as well as I can. All donations currently will come to me, Inge Anderson. They will give my long-suffering husband some respite from supporting this ministry.

If you would like to make a donation in honor of a loved one, please specify this, and tell us what you want us to do about it. We can create pages in memory of your loved one if you will send us the appropriate information, even a picture, if you like.

I am currently working on setting up a way to donate through this web page. If you want to give some financial help before this is ready, please email me through the link at the left, and I'll get back to you.

In His love,
Inge Anderson
